A transcript of your conversation is recorded for supervision, quality control, and program development purposes and will be archived, anonymously, for a period of five (5) years.
Each time you come onto the site, your I.P. address (a unique string of numbers separated by periods that identifies the computer you are using to engage over the internet) is registered. The I.P. address may indicate the location of your device at the time you access our site as well as analytics and usage information about your use of the site. Additional website use data, such as time of access, date of access, length of time on the site, “likes” and “follows”, downloads, etc. are collected through standard analytics procedures. No identifying information is associated with these statistics.
From time to time, we will post surveys or questions to learn more about our website users and their concerns. If you chose to participate in any of these, you may be asked to state information about yourself (such as your age, gender, number of children, etc) but you would not be asked to provide identifying information. Your participation in these surveys would be entirely voluntary and the purpose of the survey would be fully explained.

Research and Evaluation. We will employ standard analytics programs, which will count and analyse a range of user activities, including but not limited to:
In addition, we will aggregate user comments posted on articles, stories and on discussion forums to analyze for thematic content, issues raised and addressed, user concerns, parenting tips and strategies, etc. We are interested in learning about the kinds of issues of concern to our website visitors and are interested in learning whether these concerns change over time, as a result of participating on our site. The anonymous conversations from our Let’s Talk Parenting online Chat will be analyzed in a similar fashion and for the same purpose.
As noted, we will also post surveys on the website to learn more about user interests and concerns. These surveys will also help to inform us about what matters to the users of our site and help us to streamline content that will be useful. In addition, surveys may be used to help users learn something about each other. Results may be posted, anonymously, for all users to see.
Results from all forms of analysis—analytics, comments and conversations, surveys—will be made available to the public from time to time, on the website or via articles published in local newspapers, magazines or local news stations. Reports will also be prepared and distributed to funders, local businesses and interested parties. Submission to academic journal will also be considered.
